Ye’s YZY POD, The Infamous Sock Shoe, Is Available For Pre-Order

Accept no imitations. Ye, formerly Kanye West, officially released his first YZY shoe in the post-adidas era. Called the YZY POD, the infamous knee-high sock shoe is finally available for purchase by the public; three sizes are available (1, 2, and 3) and the MSRP is set at $200.

Ye’s continously minimal approach to footwear has been making its rounds on social media, most recently appearing on the feet of Nobu Matsuhisa, the founder of the renowned high-end restaurant chain Nobu.

In October of 2022, adidas officially cut ties with Kanye West after the artist’s repeated anti-semitic remarks on social media. Throughout 2023, adidas and Kanye came to an agreement to liquidate the remaining stock of footwear, with proceeds going to charity. In November 2023, another adidas Yeezy release event was scheduled, but those plans were nixed likely due to the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
