Rumored to release in July 2021, the leather version of the Off-White Air Force 1 will be releasing in its fourth overall colorway – this University Gold edition that is said to coincide with an upcoming exhibit by Virgil Abloh at ICA Boston. It is extremely likely that a raffle-style release will be employed to launch the sneaker as the demand is extremely high. Official images of the shoes reveal a full leather construction with exposed sponge materials at the ankle and tongue, a stitched-on Swoosh, and the famed Helvetica text beneath on the medial side, A tonal yellow Nike Air tongue label hangs off the side, as does the plastic zip-tie – a tell-tale detail that has separated Virgil’s Off-White Nike footwear from the rest of the pack. A matching monochromatic yellow outsole with black “AIR” is also included. While this sneaker is merely a new color application of the exhibit-exclusive series of Off-White Air Force 1s, the pop of University Gold has been a head-turner due to the various yellow samples revealed by Virgil and through a series of exhibits.
