The Nike Cortez’s Newest Look: Baroque Brown

The Nike Cortez has come a long way from its debut as a performance running shoe at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico. Over the past year, we’ve seen a healthy drip of colorways hit the market. Simple and aerodynamic in design, the Cortez is a versatile canvas as it can be dressed up extravagantly like last year’s “All Petals United,” or dressed down like this Baroque Brown and White women’s exclusive.

The earthy brown shade is broken up by the use of two different materials; the upper is suede from the toe to tongue to heel while the panels are a complimentary nylon, while the traditional Swoosh keeps to a white leather. And despite the silhouette receiving a number of facelifts over the years, that classic look is what keeps the shoe relevant in today’s lifestyle market.

While the release date for this women’s exclusive hasn’t yet been revealed, the Nike Cortez “Baroque Brown” for women will retail for $90.
