RESTOCK: Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game”2025-03-07
The Flu Game 12 epitomizes what the kids call “aura.” In game five of 1997 NBA finals, suffering from what we now know to be food poisoning, Michael Jordan dropped 38 points on the Utah Jazz en route to winning his fifth championship with the Bulls. The black and red Jordan 12 was his sneaker of choice, thus birthing a natural nickname for one of the most iconic OG colorways in Air Jordan history.
Now on its fourth retro release (and first since 2016), the next Flu Game 12 is said to be more limited than previous editions. Time will tell in the end, but we’ll likely see stock numbers comparable to the “Black Metallic Reimagined” Jordan 5 that released to much acclaim in early February. The tactic plays into a larger strategy of Jordan Brand mixing more limited drops into its release calendar, thus dialing up resale prices.
